Summer Solstice
June 21, 2025
Over 400 guests celebrated the summer solstice on the Clark Art Institute's 140-acre grounds, culminating in ritual on historic Stone Hill. Forged community partnerships with local artisans and practitioners including herbalist Misa Chappell, Full Well Farm, tarot readers Rebecca Guanzon and Jane Hudson, and spirit artist Alison Pebworth. Programmed experiences from foraging walks through Groundwork 2025, an outdoor sculpture exhibition, to flower crown workshops. Designed closing ceremony with cultural educator justin adkins featuring smoke cleansing, directional calls, and community drumming that honored cross-cultural solstice traditions.
