Bloomsbury Dining Experience
July 26, 2025

In collaboration with chef Leah Guadagnoli of Hudson, New York’s Fancy Feast Supper Club, I presented a vegetarian pop-up dinner inspired by the Bloomsbury Group’s final summer party at Charleston in 1939 and the themes of the A Room of Her Own exhibition.

Drawing on recipes from The Bloomsbury Cookbook, Guadagnoli crafted a seasonal menu that captured the collective’s bohemian spirit and creative legacy. The event paired thoughtfully sourced local ingredients with a table setting and collateral designed to evoke Charleston’s vibrant and decorative style.

Visual Identity & Graphics

For the event’s visual identity, I drew on the rich artistic and historical context of the Bloomsbury Group and their extended creative circles. Menus, food cards, and wayfinding were inspired by May Morris’s Decorative Needlework, Vanessa Bell’s expressive watercolor style, and Victorian motifs. Together, these elements formed a cohesive graphic identity that transported guests into the world of Charleston, reinforcing the connection between the culinary experience and its cultural inspiration.
